No wonder, serious racers and fans have long referred to National Speed Sport News as “The Bible of Motorsports.”

In addition, we have the bound volumes of NSSN, for perusal by appointment only.
A: Fine, thank you. Now 88, he maintains a daunting travel schedule, and he recently released his autobiography, "Let 'Em All Go." Chris has returned to his native New Jersey where he still works the phones gathering information for his column, which appears weekly in NSSN like it has since 1950.

A: We have a limited number of “recent” back issues for sale at the cost of $3 each. Go to our Back Issues page in the store to place your order.
We regret that we only keep back issues for a few years. We do have bound archive editions. Please contact us toll-free at (866) 455-2531 if we can help you. If your request requires us to research issues, we can arrange for interns to do so, but there is a $15 charge and we cannot guarantee we’ll find the article. Call us if you need our help.

A: Yes, we publish 10 or 12 special or expanded issues. Go to the Publication Schedule for more information and to learn of advertising opportunities.
A: Gannett Offset in Springfield, Virginia, prints National Speed Sport News and handles our distribution logistics. On Tuesdays, they bulk ship bundles, bags and pallets to 65 general mail facilities across the United States:
* Via contracted truck delivery throughout the Carolinas, Virginias, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Ohio, and into other Midwestern states
* Via airfreight services to Milwaukee, St. Louis and 11 other metro areas west of the Mississippi River
Delivery to each of these major mail distribution centers is generally made within 12 to 24 hours of the paper’s being printed or between Tuesday evening and noon Wednesday.
Once entered into the regional postal centers, most deliveries, especially those in “automated 5-digit” presorts, move quickly to local post offices and the vast majority of our readers receive their Speed Sport News on Thursdays or Fridays. Saturday delivery seems to be the norm in some cases, and a few readers report receiving delivery after the weekend.
We extend our thanks and gratitude to everyone at Gannett Offset, all our shippers and to the thousands of U.S. Postal Service workers who provide timely delivery to tens of thousands of Speed Sport News readers. They truly make a weekly miracle possible.
Q: How can I arrange to sell National Speed Sport News at my store, shop or track?
A: We have many retail outlets. Our news dealers make handsome profits. Call us toll-free (866) 455-2531 to learn more about establishing sales. (Speed Sport News will cover the cost of shipping papers to you and will allow for credit of unsold copies. Call us for more details.)
We would also be glad to talk with you about track sales opportunities. It’s a great way for individuals to make more than enough money to cover travel, accommodations, meals and ticket cost and still have plenty of time to see the races. Also, Speed Sport News will gladly work with school or church groups to set up sales opportunities as fund-raisers. You’d be surprised at the amount of money raised by some groups.
Q: Who do I contact about advertising in NSSN?
A: Contact Chris Sessions (704) 455-8046 or Liz Mellott (704) 455-8045. They oversee display advertising. If would like to place a classified ad, contact Sara Barkman (704) 455-8042 or click here. A valid credit card number is required in order to immediately process a faxed or e-mailed ad.
Q: How should I send my display ad materials?
A: We require ads be sent as electronic files. We accept .pdf, .eps and Quark files. Ads may be e-mailed to advertising@nationalspeedsportnews.com or sent on a CD.

A: Yes, happily.
